    Hello, I was curious to know how to create the center line with reference to a bolt circle on a rectangular object? In this tutorial you click the outside circle as your reference point. Is there a way to create a circular reference point?

    Why there is variation in contour plots on the surface. For a spherical pressure vessel with symmetry boundary conditions and uniform pressure, stresses should be same at every point on the surface but it is not the case here. What is the reason for this ?

    Hi! Samson, I have a question about the tolerance selection, why you put the tolerance of the outer diameter manually? I think the software should put the tolerance value automatically based on the diameter. I Don't know is it software bug or not.My concept may be wrong. But according to design perspective, the functionality should do it automatically. I request your comment please what you know. Thanks.

      Software can't put tolerance value automatically based on the diameter, because Software don't know whether we required clearance fit or transition fit or interference fit. That's why we have to put tolerance value based on our required condition i.e., clearance fit or transition fit or interference fit.

    6:30 If anyone not able to constrain the point and surface (in extract) in assembly. Then constrain the point and any line in the surface and update then the point lies on the surface with offset zero. then delete the constrain (without moving the mount away then it lies on the surface). Then go to kinematic simulation. it works fine :)

    I am not able to extract the surface in the PartBody tree. My catia produced a geometrical set ever and ever again. I can select the point from the pin but never the extracted surface. Has anyone an idea?

    what is P .375? Is it Position or Positional tolerance? Please clarify

      P is for Projected. The tolerance is projected from the surface that distance to ensure fitment to the other part. Usually the projected distance is the thickness of the interface part/flange.

    Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful, is it possible to position second cube ( cube2 ) on the center of the base and when cube1(cube from your video) hits the cube2(which is not moving at this time) it starts pushing cube2, basically what I would like to know is it possible to simulate one body to set in motion other body by coincide with it

    The textbook example has an interruption (white space) between the part and the extension / leader lines of the perpendicularity control frames. This tutorial has no such gap. Does anyone know how to make this gap?
